The relay points are good.

AFAIK, the back EMF on these motors reads around 400 vac.
As motor gets up to speed, back EMF rises until this relay kicks the start capacitor out of the circuit.

Does coil ohms of 5.94k create enough magnetism effect to pull in the relay?

This coil is made of a very fine wire with many turns
The points arm is lightly sprung.

 

ok. looking here they do have a very high resistance, likely is ok.

I have over years had to buy several of these as they get rusty. And also this one is getting slight surface rust.

Can they be coated in spray oil or something? Inside and outside?
The wire screw threads also can rust.
