Hi.
Did a re-scan recently and many over-the-air new channels showed up. Most of the new findings fade at certain times or by thermal ducting conditions. But perhaps a better antenna could keep better reception.
Which aims to hundreds of antennas in the market and DIY that claim being the 'best'
What is your experience on building an omnidirectional one worth the effort and a good use of rewarded enthusiasm ? Discone ? No soda cans, please. 470 to 700 MHz ?
Currently have two on the roof; a marine and a home made magnetic loop :

Thanks. Yes, and many similar on television advertisements. Seem very directional which am trying to avoid. Made of 5 cents of kitchen aluminium foil, as the multielement yagis that have survived decades on million roofs are very obsolete with the new TV spectrum without VHF.
Feels like they could engineer something with more gain without preamplification.
