How would you regulate/limit multiple outputs from a power supply at 10A maximum?

I thought about using a LDO that can be current limited: with Vin at 29/30 V and regulating Vout to 28V, inefficiencies are "minimized". Current limit it at 10A and should get the job done.
Alas, this may be your best option without doing something fancy.
We are still missing the battery voltage but it sounds like maybe 2 lead acid (24 volts). In which case if your charging dead batteries you might burn up 100 watts in the transistors. Ugly, but possible. :rolleyes:
Edit: Sorry, I was thinking of @#12 's transistor current limit, not an ldo.
