Hello!
I have a Dayton Audio SAB1060 sound card/amp that receives constant power from a 24V 5A DC Switching Power Supply AC Adapter. The amp board contains a CONTROL center with a mini molex-style harness that is used to power the board on and off and contains 4 wires: GND, SYNC, MUTE, SHDN. I assumed that this, when wired to a on/off switch, would allow for the board to be shut down and powered on by a button. I ordered a 12V-24V/5A Latching Push Button Switch LED 1NO1NC SPDT ON Off Toggle Switch with Wire Socket Plug thinking I could use this to control the board. The issue is I am unsure how it should be wired or if the button ordered is appropriate for this. I don’t believe any of the diagrams supplied with the button are appropriate.
My goal is to have the button led off when the board is off and lit when pressed and the board on (as described in Diagram 1 in the attached photo).
I have limited knowledge of electronics so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards.
