Hello everyone,

How would you go about wiring the ac motor and speed controller in the following Amazon link? What I tried didn't work for whatever reason.
https://www.amazon.com/Induction-Reversing-Integrated-Reducerlow-Noise-Controller/dp/B0CH8GKF54

This ebay link may provide a little additional info:
https://www.ebay.pl/itm/315438800813

I plugged the connector on the motor into the connector on the speed controller (with the red wires aligned with each other), I wired the white and black hot and neutral wires of an open ended power cord to the ac screws of the speed controller, I wired the green ground wire of the power cord to the ground screw (labeled FG) on the speed controller, and I also connected a wire from the ground screw of the motor to the ground screw of the controller. When I plugged the power cord into an outlet, the green LED on the speed controller came on and there was humming coming from the motor but it wouldn't spin no matter how high I turned up the speed. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

Thank you!

I see nothing at all telling about the motor connections, nor any mention of what sort of motor is to be controlled, nor any mention as to that controller being suitable for that motor. I do see in the one photo that the motor is an AC powered induction motor, but I have seen no information that the speed controller is for AC induction motors.

In addition, neither of the links includes NO USEFUL technical information.
