I am building a powder coat oven, so I bought a brand new Convection oven motor, and I cannot figure out how to wire it.

The only label is 120v 60Hz 2.5uf 50w 0.47A CL H-T-P

It has three wires a red, grey, and blue wire

Blue to grey is 50 ohms
Blue to red is 100 ohms
Grey to red 35 ohms

I am kind of out of my element here, but I am motivated to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

 

Its a single phase capacitor run motor, you need a 2.5uF 450Vac capacitor.

The red would be the Live, grey Neutral, the Blue goes to the capacitor.

That was way more helpful than expected. I ordered the Capacitor. One last question, do I need a Start Capacitor as in the diagram?

 

No just the one capacitor.

 

Ensure it is a AC motor run rated capacitor, as there is a often a difference between run and start versions.
