I wish to connect VCC, GND , RX, TX to my arduino. will it work, do I need to connect additional pins there?

 

The manufacturer is a bit cagey on the subject:

... aside from that, I'd give it a try: it's just the "AT" command-set.
Also: it's Bluetooth Low-Energy single-mode , so (I think) you'll need another low-energy thingy on the other end
