How to set this device output voltage to 8v

Hi Don,
Have you tried soldering the two small pads together on the 'B' point? ?

It is possible the PCB is multilayer, so some copper tracks may not be visible.

I think the thing that you are calling a capacitor is a zero ohm resistor. Both ends of it should be soldered to the pads. The one in position A should be removed.
If item A has been removed and item B is only soldered at one end I expect the output to be 5 volts. Is that the output voltage you are getting ?

Try this:
Measures the 12V_AB two points, if they are shorted then cut off, and connected 8V_AB two points.
It is showing 9v output even when I didn't connect the AB of the 8v. Also when I connect the AB of the 8v pad it's still showing 9v output.

Before purchasing I read the description and they said it is default set to 12v but when I supplied the input 3.7v it got 9v output. Anyway, I haven't used it before this is my first time using it.

At default, it outputs 9v but that is not what I saw before purchasing it. They said it can convert 3.7v to 12v and it can also be set to 5, 9, and 9.

I will the try the one in the picture provided if it will work.

The jumper on B should be in place and soldered both sides. The jumper on A should be removed, lest it make contact and change the voltage to 12V.

It looks like they put both jumpers in place but soldered only one side of each. I suspect the B jumper was making contact without being soldered, giving you the 9V output.
