Never tried anything like programming an EEPROM before. I expect I'll need to read data from a good chip which I have. It will need to be desoldered from PC board. Well maybe it won't I do not know. It's SMD.

Manufacture of equipment needing repair is of no help. They do not have the chip nor the instructions which need programmed into it.

I've searched several differing programmers which may or may not work. As I said this is very new to me. Really not expecting to program many of these things so low cost would be a plus in a programmer.

Any direction which can be provided would be great.

 

Any programmer that supports serial EEPROM should work. You'll have to remove it from the board.

 

What is the chip out of? TL866 should work for you.

 

From an intelligent light fixture. Color and intensity can be controlled remotely as well as beam direction and shape.

Sourced chips from China. Removed a chip with the correct coding in it from a second unit. Read and then Programmed new chip with a unit from eBay. Worked perfectly.

Programmer I used is listed as EZP2019+ came with several different sockets depending on the chip.
