Alrighty. I've got the USBTinyISP assembled, working properly, and communicating with AVRDude. The jumper for the jumper pins is not installed.

Great! When you say 'communicating with AVRdude', what do you mean exactly? Have you already wired up the micro controller to the TinyISP and talked to it through AVRdude or do you mean something else?

 

I used command line and the command avrdude -p usbtinyisp -c m8 and got a reply showing that it was in communication with the USBTinyISP.

I'm out of town due to a medical emergency with my son. So I won't be able to work on it till I get back.

Alright, I'm back in town. So, AVRDude is in communication with USBTinyISP. What's the next step?
