The first thing will be to check the datasheet for the pinout and whether it's common-anode or common-cathode.

Then you need to know how much the max. current for each LED, and you can go from there to determine if or what size of external resistor you will need for each LED.

Yes, depending on the logic that you are trying to output... If you are trying to display a BCD value, you can use a decoder such as a 7447.

ya,i would like 2 have tat... and have fixed tat in just now... so do i need 2 have a mutliplexer? and how 2 connect it 2 the mux?

A multiplexer and a MUX are the same thing. You need two sources of BCD values to feed the decoders. Look at BCD counters.

ya,how to connect the 7 segment 2 the mux? do u noe any sites or links tat hav a schematic diagram of how 2 connect the legs of 7 segment, decoders, and mux?

Don't really need a schematic. Get the data sheets for the chips you are using and follow that information. The displays, whatever they are, will connect to the outputs of the display drivers, whatever they might be. The display drivers get their inputs from the MUX, whatever it might be. The MUX inputs have yet to be mentioned.
