How to cut a small portion or segment of trace in Diptrace?

Hi,
In the below image, I want to cut only this small circled piece:

So, I hit right click and click on unroute segment:

It does delete it but keeps both pads connected:

So, how can I just chip off/delete/cut/remove any piece of the line/trace/connector/wire, whatever you want to call it, forever?

Thanks

Is there a connection/schematic file that was used to generate the traces?
If so, the connection needs to be removed in that file.

In most Schematic capture programs you would have to remove it in the schematic and re-complile the PCB net.
Max.
hmmmm, in this case I think I've made a mistake! I built the whole thing as a PCB due to lack of components' patents (I had to create a few of them myself). In this case, I may end up deleting the whole connections that I need to edit then rebuild them. Thanks guys!

What you may be able to do is unroute/delete the trace and then manually trace it where you want it, it may throw an error due to a trace missing, but most will still produce a gerber file etc with the 'error' registered.
I have never used Diptrace so it would be something to try.
