I have never had "search" work well. There is wonderful information that is a week or month old, and it is just gone. I can see that other people can find conversatons that are years old.

 

The Search function is not consistent. I find that the first query works but not subsequent ones. You have to exit the search menu and come back in.

What are you searching? Perhaps we can help you find it.

I search for excepts of text that I remember being in the thread. Works well.

I try the words I recall and if possible with the OP, or anyone who participated.

Found results somewhat frustrating.

For any late member, don't waste your time mentioning it; will be ignored.

Why the results sometimes come not necessarily ordered by date is a mistery to me.

 

Generally too much work but if you really need to find something you can use google, duckduckgo, bing and perhaps other engines thusly:
site:forum.allaboutcircuits.com blabla
This may or may not produce better results.
