Hooking up AirTag power to iPod battery

I know absolutely nothing about electronics, hardware, or circuits. I’m a software engineering undergraduate, and I recently got an iPod that I’d love to keep trackable using an AirTag. I’ve seen mods where people hide an AirTag inside an iPod shaving the shell which just looks idk "Wrong" I guess? idrk how to explain it... But still, I don’t have any hands on experience with soldering or hardware modifications. I read this article

https://adamcatley.com/AirTag.html

And at the bottom, it states that it is possible to hook this up to a different battery... I’m trying to understand whether this is realistically achievable for a complete beginner, what skills or tools I would need to learn first, and whether this is something I should even attempt myself or leave to someone with electronics experience. I know for sure I'm missing something probably like air pod battery voltage is different from air tag battery it's impossible... so please if there is some obstacles that I should know about please let me know and thabnk you!!

The AirTag uses the widely used CR2032 lithium coin battery, nominally 3V. Car key fobs often use this battery and you'll find it in other low-power devices as well. My digital kitchen scale uses one.

It's hard for me to picture enough room inside ANY iPod model to implant even the de-shelled AirTag. I'm pretty sure different iPod models used different batteries. Do you have a particular iPod model in mind?

Since you admit to no soldering experience and I'll assume limited experience with taking apart Apple devices, this doesn't seem like a wise project to take on. You could ruin both the iPod and the AirTag and the sum value is not huge, but it would be sad.

Are you familiar with the AirTag-compatible devices in a credit card format? The wallet maker Ridge offers one but I think there are more out there. Rechargeable. You could just hot-glue it to your iPod.

The iPod model I have is iPod 5.5 classic I was thinking of removing the speaker to make it as small as possible... I saw people modding iPods and thought that this would be a mod that I want to try I also tend to lose my stuff LOL... I didn't know about the credit card airtag that would be a good option and if I can't do airtag to ipod then i might have to use the card until I get any experience with electronics in general... The reason I would still want the airtag is because the airtag offers a feature where your phone will direct you to the item (if you are within a couple of feet) with like arrows and the cards can only play sound and put directions to where it is (walking or driving directions)
