I don't have 33Ω. Have 22Ω and 47Ω. Which would be better? Or should I use a 22 & 10Ω resistors in series for each?

 

I suggest the 47 ohm resistors. The reason is that many earphones are 32 ohms, and with the parallel resistance of the load resistor it will approach the planned load from the high side, which is better than from the low side in this case.

Good choice. Modern device headphone outputs are are built to handle anything from lower than 15 ohms to higher than 600.
