Help with grounded shielded load cell in plastic enclosure

Hey guys,
I'm working on a project in which I am using a parallel beam load cell with two plates (not metal) to weigh objects within a plastic box a couple feet tall.

The load cell I'm using uses a shielded cable, and I am unable to put a hole in the container to connect it to physical ground. Should I just ground it to the ground plane on my MCU?

Also, if I use a metal container, it will be a couple of feet tall, should I still ground it to that container, or will that act as an antenna?

Thanks a lot in advance!

hi k,
When I use a L/C with a shielded connecting cable, I always ground the screen at the electronics, MCU.
Likewise I would ground a metallised enclosure in order to provide a screen.

OK great, that's what I assumed.

Since I won't have a earth ground with the plastic container, is it safe to say that the best screen will be with using the metal container?
