help with dc lathe motor

hi all not been on for a while health probs dealing with it so i bought a clarke cl300m lathe of ebay motor gone no sweat dc motor PM stator rewind armature so bought 200w dc 180v can i run this motor from a ac/dc 28v led controller thanks for any help.....kev
