I will be having an exam next week and I am unsure how to tackle the problem regarding snubber calculations.
I've read a few books and it seems everybody makes it in a slightly different way with lots of mathematical gibberish in between.
Attached is the question and the notes I have. The calculations seem fairly straightforward but I don't fully understand how and why these equations were derived and therefore I am having trouble verifying the validity of my answer. If someone could shed some light I would be really grateful.
