Hi: New to the forum (or at least for a very long time) and browsing in pursuit of possible solutions to a similar problem with spurious 555 mono triggering.

But I'm puzzled by replies to 'Bill', when I see no posts by him in the thread? Presumably it's Bill Marsden, author of the excellent blog I'm also about to study?

There's for sure going to be an embarrassingly obvious answer, but in mitigation I haven't had my morning coffee yet ;-)
