I am a student of ece.I want to do a thesis on microprocessor design.Please give me some reference and also good advice.

 

I would think your thesis is to demonstrate your vast knowledge on microprocessors. What have you been doing for the last five years?

 

Use something like the i7 as a base, and expand it to 12 cores, while using half the power.

Better yet, double the performance and run it off a watch battery for 10 years.

To the OP, I think you should give us some idea of what you know. i.e. RISC, CISC, VLIW architectures, etc.
