I am in the process of designing a circuit that requires 5v. My power source is a 3.7v lipo cell.

I have the power circuit already in the pcb design. I based it off of a small step up converter i found on a cheap chinese site.

I was hoping to find out what this chip actually is and source it but i am unable to find it.

The IC chip is a ME2108A50 SOT-23

I dont even know what kind of IC it is but i need to be able to source it or find one that is similar. It needs to remain very small I have no more room on my pcb.

Thanks for your time.

It's part of a Dc to Dc buck booster from China.

I finally found that out as well, unfortunately i can not find any in the states. I think I will have to go with a sot23-5 pin module. Does the samething but 2 pins are not utilized.

Here is the one I am looking at.https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/maxim-integrated/MAX1724EZK50-T/MAX1724EZK50-TCT-ND/948254

I hope it works, i am unsure as to what components I need with this IC so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

If you look at the diagram on the Chinese link, it gives four external components, a nFet, an inductor, a diode and a capacitor, all are listed at the bottom of the circuits.

So if i apply these components to my new 5 pin chip it should work similar? Or will i have to pick 2oit different values per the data sheet?
