Hello,
I am designing a circuit that will measure strain on 6 different parts on a car. On each part 2 strain gauges will be used in different sides as can be seen in the following picture (half bridge)
The voltages that I will get from the bridges can be both positive and negative.
Since the circuit will be installed in a car, I will be using +5 volts regulated voltage supply.
My questions are as following:
1. Will I be able to amplify negative voltages with single supply instrumentation amplifier?
2. Is it a must to have a low pass filter after the instrumentation amplifier? I am aiming to reach a high precision circuit.
Thank you.
