Hi
i need help diagnosing the fault with my desktop ATX power supply.
the brand of my power supply is OCZ-CXS500W corextream. I held the ON/OFF switch(at the back of the psu) in the middle while my computer was running. My plug fuse has blown and anti surge has turned off the electricity on the first floor. I tried starting this psu again unplugged from motherboard with new plug fuse but as soon as i switched the switch to the on postion the same thing has happend. What is wrong with my power supply? Can it be repaired?

ATX power supply is not that simple to repair. It has mains voltages on the primary side of the ferric transformer. If you dont have any experience in repairing SMPS type of PSU, it would be safer to take GopherT's advice and buy a new $35 power supply.

The cost of repairing it may be more than $35 and would endanger your life too.
