Hi engineers, recently I have been using a high voltage DC power supply in a project. The voltage I used is negative voltage ranging from 0 to -2000V. I used a Bertan power supply with a Tektronix differential probe hooked to a DAQ device to monitor the real-time voltage. It works normally in positive mode but when it comes to negative voltage mode, the probe shows square wave behavior instead of DC behavior.

In my configuration, the high V power supply is hooked to Tektronix differential probe with 500X attenuation at 100MHZ bandwidth, the output lead of the Tektronix probe is connected to V+ and V- of the Analog input of NI DAQ board which is grounded to earth.

I have attached the tested results below. You can see the positive voltage works well but in negative voltage mode, when it goes over -200V, there appears pulse behavior. The voltage has a 60Hz relaxation to 0V.

Can anyone help with this? I tested different power supply, and other differential probe and DAQ devices, it all gave the same results.

Thank you!!!
