Hello.
I'm working with a LilyGo T-SIM7600X module which schematic can be found here:
https://github.com/Xinyuan-LilyGO/T-SIM7600X/blob/master/schematic/T54_SIM7600_20201012.pdf
I'm using a 18650 battery to power the module and also a 5V, 500mA, 2.5W solar cell to charge the battery whenever it is needed.
I am asking for help from more experienced electronics people to try to answer to 2 questions I am not able (don't have enough experience/knowledge) to answer on my own.
Question 1 - Can the solar cell feed the module alone without the battery? Or is the solar cell exclusivelly to charge the battery?
Question 2 - Can the solar cell charge the battery at the same time the battery feeds the module or the solar cell will only charge the battery if it goes bellow a threshold voltage value?
Not sure this is enough to answer the questions (probably not) but these 2 blocks are the ones regarding battery interface and solar cell input / voltage translation

I'm asking the 2nd question, because during the weekend I charged the battery at home with a power supply and I could check the power supply changing from CC mode to CV mode when the battery reached 4.2V. Then I used it during the day of yesterday along with the solar cell and left it over night working and today, by mid day, the module turned off and I measured the battery voltage and it was too low. Like 2.73V or so.
So, I charged it back (still in the process with another power supply) and I'm not sure if the solar cell has the capability to charge the battery so that it is full by the time the solar cell is not able to provide enough power to the module!
