Hi to all,
I have an idea in my mind to take a small LCD clock module and use its chipboard to drive the 7 segment LED display or even big LEDs instead of LCD display. In other words, I want to convert a small cheap LCD clock in to a large size LED clock and want to use LCD clock circuit board as a time base because it is difficult to get the large clock ICs for me. What if I use suitable FETs to drive the LEDs from LCD chip module? Please guide me whether it is possible or not. Thanks

LCD's use column and row drivers to control each "pixel", you could probably come up with a suitable LED circuit to replace the actual LCD screen.... but could take some work.
