actually a DAC will normally have both a “sample” function, which this circuit represents, and a “hold” component to store the sampled value so it can be read.

Really? Sounds to me like a description of an ADC.

That DAC looks unusual. Looks like a cross between a 1R2R and a 1248 binary weighted network. The transfer function may be very unusual but I did not analyze it yet.

Oh, I see there is an assumption that allows it to work like a regular DAC.

It appears that you need some hints to get going.

For the DAC, do you know how to calculate the gain of an inverting op amp amplifier? You need to know that.
You simply start changing the state of the switches and calculate and recalculate the gain, then try to figure out how that gain is changing.
That's the way to solve that problem. The others will be a little different but you should do one at a time.
