Thirty seals were killed after completeing there mission,they did not have a
reason to remove any rangers as they appeared to be safe after
the completed mission.When the seals were leaving in there Chinook
helicoper when It was shot down. So with the rangers being safe and
none Injured enough to be evacuated. When no other regular
soldiers being on board. I ask you why an elite unit that
only trained and carries there own,was asked
to carry travel companions not being seals were on
board.If we don't carry rangers and regulars,why non-regulars.
For special elite units that need to conceal there missions.
That question could never have the correct answer,the elite units
train together for a reason,why change after sucess.

 

As a matter of policy the US does not discuss seals or their operations. This protects the guys after they retire, the kind of stuff they participate in the opposing side will have long memories, and may try to take it out of them after they retire. Makes it kind of hard to argue with the policy.

The "others" you talked about were the Afgan commandos, according to the AP article I read.

Every military service participates in training other nations military and other allies. This should not suprise anyone. Joint exercises are not new either. Joint operations are the norm these days.

 

The co-mingled ashes arrived at dover today,the seals are engaged In the joint
mission for eternity. I would have thought that the unit deserved some down time,
Less permanant.Let this post remember the seals with dignity. No more comments
