Have you tried Famous Grouse? Considerably cheaper than J&B or Dewar's (Dewar's is not 100% Scotch either), but still good. Johnnie Walker Red is still my favorite blend. If you want to play alchemist, add just a little Laphroaig to the Famous Grouse to change from highland to lowland. For single malt, Lagavulin 16 is my favorite over any Macallan.

As for beer, I have switched to Yuengling Golden Pilsner. We have several local brews like Great Lakes and Platform (its Cleveland pilsner/ale) that are good but are probably not available in your area.

No, I haven't. So far I've stuck with Laphroaig.

Yuengling Lager's my favorite. Some of the brews by the Pennsylvania Brewing Company out in Pittsburgh are pretty good, too.

And now I'm thirsty. And I have no beer. Or Scotch.

Ahhh... Islay Scotch. Either hate it or love it. I love it! Unfortunately, the docs won't let me have it anymore.

Better have MÍGA. as in "Make Ísland Great Again". It may also mean taking a leak or taking a piss in Icelandic but whatever since MAGA literally means "stomach" in Icelandic.

Happy holidays.
Means the same to most of us here in the states too.
