Yes, funny you should mention it, there are about 24 (or so) around the world. I was going to start my own thread but when I checked @djsfantasi already started one. I was going to tell all the people west of me that I am happy to report, almost one hour into 2017, that everything seems ok 2017. So, I wish you all a good time as you welcome the New Year in your time zone.

I fell asleep about 9:30 so I missed it. Oh, well.

 

Kippers and champagne for me last night. 2017 looks OK so far this bright clear morning.

 

Went to bed at 12:09 AM and gratefully heard the last of the fireworks finishing as I fell asleep.

PS, I got the pumpkin for my car.
Odd...only 1 out of 30 suspects had the exactly correct differential.
Nobody got hurt, unless you count how much one naturally hurts after working under a car for a few hours.
Didn't even break a fingernail!
Looking toward a good night's sleep after a good day's work.
