Hi. I want to know if there are any GUI simulator available for avr based chips. By "GUI", I don't mean "simulator with GUI interface" but I want a simulator that can simulate things like "Blinking of LED bulbs", etc. If there are any simulators available then please tell me. I currently don't have the hardware to run programs on.

There are a few... But most want pennies.... None are free... Oshonsoft has a good setup. around £50
VBB ( virtual Breadboard ) again very good but needs pennies..

I use Proteus ( expensive ) but does everything!!! I can build an entire virtual system...

Do you need specific chip or just any avr micro is ok?

Fritzing is free and has some avr chips. You can make circuit look like real thing instead of using engineering symbols.
