The best comment on that video summarizes my thoughts on this exactly when I saw the "headline" a few days ago:
"Graphene just broke a fundamental law. And by fundamental, we mean derived. And by broke, we mean it never applied. And by just we mean that this has been known for years. "

Edit: also the "law" it "broke" is a purely empirical law, not a mathematically-derived one.
