Hey. I'm thinking about getting a good book that gives a good introduction on the typical setup of computer hardware. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

 

Get an A+ manual then you can go take the CompTIA A+ test and actually be certified tech. This is the most basic form of IT certification you can get.

 

I was hoping for a computer hardware design book from a computer engineering perspective, not from an IT perspective.

The main problem with good books on computer hardware is that they are outdated as soon as they are printed.
The development on computerhardware goes so fast that it is very hard to catch up with.
