Hi guys, I am currently passively studying electronics using the book "Practical Electronics for Inventors" and I am liking it a lot but it doesn't go into a lot of detail on the physics behind electrical circuits and other electrical phenomena. What books on electromagnetics and the more 'physics' aspects of electrical/electronics engineering (e.g. transmission lines, microwaves, RF, etc.) can you recommend?

 

A very good book in this area is Electromagnetic Fields by Wangsness. It is the best written textbook, on any subject, I have ever come across.

Thanks for the recommendation, got hold of a pdf and it seems to be exactly what I am looking for. Now I need to choose between this one or Griffiths Introduction to Electrodynamics (which is also very convincing)
