I have the "automatically watch threads I start or contribute to" turned off, but the forum software still watches threads I contribute to (and create). I have made sure the setting is turned off in my preferences and have even Saved the settings a couple times.

And I have the exact opposite problem. Can't seem to get any notices.

Looking in the admin panel , I see this in your profile:

Do you have these content settings, as in mine:

All of those options show as *unchecked* in my settings (using Chrome).

 

Looking with FireFox, all of those options show as *checked*.

...I've now made them the same as yours, bertus, via FireFox.
