Flemings Left Hand Rule for Motors?

Hi Guys, Im working on these revision questions, i carnt find alot in my notes about solving them, All I remember is holding my thumb & forefinger on my left hand either up or Down to solve I think? Any help appreciated... Thx.

Did you go and read that website? I thought it explained it well.
I don't like the lable of "motion". This should be called "force" or "acceleration" because a motor can be moving in the opposite direction as the force. Some people may associate motion with acceleration, while others may think it is velocity. The two are not the same.

I find this rule hard to remember. I use the right hand cross product rule and just remember the Lorentz force formula F=I x B where F, I and B are the vectors representing force, current and field respectively.
