Isn't that what capitalism is all about ?
I was I a town that has suffered recently after Walmart moved in , killed off all the local business .
No, it's what communism is all about in the PV case, destroying capitalism and the right to be a free individual is the goal. No secret about that.

Who forced the locals to shop at Walmart, the devil and his demons, a Communist?

IMO, poor excuse to blame X company for them to deciding to kill off local business, by their own actions and their own decisions.

I don't shop at Walmart because I support local business and don't like the Walmart culture, not because they own the means of production under the threat of guns and prisons, with the total control of media and freedom of expression.

And not just that. Capitalism is about free market, and when said market is tampered with by selling products below their production value for the purpose of extinguishing all competition that is no longer the case.

And Walmart don't sell at different prices in different stores , and have "loss leaders" ..
Sorry , just cause ones done by one big entity , the other is done by another big entity does not make one right one wrong.

Yes, which makes the, what about Walmart canard so transparent as a non-thinking canned response.

FWIW, there is a U.S. based solar manufacturer; First Solar ticker FSLR.

The stock is up and down with the latest tariff news and I suspect many investors don't realize how much the tariffs should help them.

Lets hope they can get the raw materials and they can ramp up production quickly .

Must say , family has two kia cars .
One 3 years younger than other. And the new one , is all touch screen , and impossible to do anything whilst driving , i.e to turn up the blower or change temperature is three menu items down .
Much much easier to turn knob !
I suspected they were dangerous, but i never realized how much (according to the article).

That's what happens when software guys start to design hardware after a meeting with 20 something YO marketing guys what never touched a wrench, and only use cell phones.

It's Windows 8 all over again.

So, they really are idiots? I thought maybe I was being too harsh.
You can never be too nice with Marketing. They were usually the only guys that could expense booze on a vendor lunch after we spent millions on new tools with their company.

Asian sourced products were the best for vendor certification (we finally signed the install papers) dinners.

Ever consider that maybe they were the smart ones?
Never. I made more than sufficient to buy my own booze.

I did once get a deal with two VP's from different divisions to put Marketing access on my corp expense card because of an emergency technical assist requirement.

I told them the only way I would go was with the entire family (wife, two kids), and they would pay for everything, no questions asked, for two weeks, if I have valid receipts with a 20+K budget (signed off by both VP's) for cash advances, car, hotel suites, expensive food, top booze, family entertainment, etc..

I spent every penny.

Did a lot of driving in Utah and Montana in the hot summer, not a place to drive a EV across. I looked at them at the rental car desk , they said a EV was a poor choice.
100% agree.

Brazil sues Chinese electric carmaker BYD over ‘slave-like’ conditions of workers
Prosecutors accuse carmaker and two contractors of bringing Chinese workers to Brazil under false pretences and keeping them in ‘minimum comfort and hygiene conditions’

Shocked, shocked that people are being treated like slaves under the CCP EV push.
Even if it was not for say apple phones @nsaspook it would still be wrong
