Whataboutism is never a valid argument.
So, you just want to make political statements about innocent peoples EV's being torched and EV businesses being attacked by gunfire, on the sly with the whataboutism. No one here, but POTUS did.
You posted a video about the Tesla attacks being domestic terrorism, so putting those crimes in perspective based on the present political atmosphere is pertinent.
POTUS implied that is was worse, from his pardons and statements about the Tesla attacks now, so it is about presidential pardons.
You can ignore what POTUS does, but the past is definitely relevant to what's happening in the present.

No, you obviously don't know what I want. So, you just want to make political statements about innocent peoples EV's being torched and EV businesses being attacked by gunfire, on the sly with the whataboutism.
Man, I had that idea first! ... too bad nobody listened to me
Most of us did but we didn't want to waste the money on it. I miss beating horses with a buggy whip so maybe there still is a chance to patent the EV whip to have a better driving experience.Man, I had that idea first! ... too bad nobody listened to me![]()
Way ahead of you, buddy ... I've already patented the electric horse that you could use your electric whip on ...Most of us did but we didn't want to waste the money on it. Damn! Another lost opportunity for billions. Didn't know you were that old.Way ahead of you, buddy ... I've already patented the electric horse that you could use your electric whip on ...
Welcome back!Hi Crutschow! Been a long time. I haven't been on this forum for years, but I was looking up some information on FM demodulation and came across the site and your thread. I also noticed you're not getting answers (though I didn't read through the entire thread) I have been driving a 2025 Chevy Equinox and really loving it. I charge at home using a L.2 charger. I had to install a 50 Amp circuit, but it was easy. There are youtube videos to walk you through it. The only trick is working with such heavy wires. I usually charge when it gets to 50% and end at 80%. That's the best way to preserve the batteries. I charge at 11KW and it takes about 4 hours to complete. But the car is charged and ready every morning and I waste no time at gas stations. I estimate I pay $1.40 a gallon for the equivalent gas, and by equivalent I mean the energy to drive the same distance as a typical ICE car. I love single pedal driving, no need for the brake pedal since it uses regen braking. Maintenance is nothing. No oil changes, no break jobs, no radiator flush and fill. The car accelerates smoothly and there is no vibration as with an ICE car. The vibration is what fatigues me on long trips.
On longer trips, I can use fast DC charging and get 250 miles range in ~40 min. Yeah, it's longer than pumping gas, but I've saved that time ahead by not going to the gas station for local trips. Max range is 319 miles, for local driving I keeps the charge between 20% and 80%, so the range is ~180 miles. Perfectly fine for local driving. I can charge at night when the rates are lower and I have less impact on the grid.
I agree about engineers embracing better technology. I'm not worried about 'propriety' software, as just about everything has propriety software these days. And it's not like I'm going to be re-writing it anyway. I have a 10-year bumper-to-bumper warranty and have better things to do that make repairs myself. But I still work on my vintage Jeep Wrangler, however. Anything else you want to know, just ask!
Glad to see your back.I also noticed you're not getting answers
I'm right behind you, my retirement is scheduled for September after working in the same semiconductor complex since 1990. It's going to take that long to train the new guys on the emergency procedures if the beams are crossed.Congrats on your retirement. I retired last Friday! Yeah, Electrify America is the best fast charger I've found so far. I can charge 200 miles in 30 minutes. That's the one I'll look for on long trips.
What did they expect when the utilities are forced to purchase excess power at retail rates?Solar for your new EV? Not so fast says California, it's costing us too much money for you to save money.
The state screwed the pooch wanting to look good years ago. It's on the state. What did they expect when the utilities are forced to purchase excess power at retail rates?
Friends of mine worked in the PV manufacturing biz in Oregon. Then the Chinese Communist party decided to destroy the solar panel competition around the world by selling under their production cost and drive the US and other countries factories out of existence. Not surprised.
How many PV bits does us make ?
What's the import duty on pv bits into us now , doubles or triples price ?
Us invest in renewables and electricity distribution, don't artificially raise their price then say they are too expensive !
Isn't that what capitalism is all about ?Friends of mine worked in the PV manufacturing biz in Oregon.
