How about embeded video in forum posts and blogs. Many video-sharing website provides "embed html" codes for that like our most famous You-Tube gives us the option for "Copy embed html" by which we can embed the You-Tube videos in any web page.

One use would in project forum where members can show how their device or circuit is working in real rather just posting pictures.

Even AAC don't have to keep those video files in its server,You-Tube will be keeping all the files in their server for their users.

I remember suggesting something several years ago, and it was rejected. I don't remember why. Speaking for myself I would like to see something like that, for the reasons stated.

I agree, but wouldn't this take up a lot of bandwidth?
You meant bandwidth of YouTube's server as the videos are accessed from YouTube's server not from AAC's server. They are just embeded in the webpage...

Anyway it depends on admin lets see what they think...

I think if they allowed something like this-

<iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vCI5RozQdTY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It should be youtube that gets the bandwith, not AAC, but I'm not 100% sure though.

Lets wait for a bit more, and its very easy if admin provide us to tag html codes but that also exposes us to security threats as anybody could post any kind of html codes. If some how the embedded video html codes could be checked, then I think it will be a safe way.

Like I said, I know several other VBulletin forums which have embedded videos.

I have never seen them have a problem or security threats.
