I found out about this today. It seems like fake science to me. I watched this DIY video which shows how to use it in your gardens (I disavow any association with the video). Anyone familiar with this technique?

Yes, you are right. This is pure nonsense, full stop.
That was my response as well. This is pure nonsense, full stop.
I have no idea why you would be so rude, What is with the off-topic insult? Seriously, reel it in.Yes, you are right.
It is same nonsense, like in your post https://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/smart-rope.194076/post-1825686.
Religion.
Electroculture or electrocultivation ?
Cannot see even logic in the contraption built. There is zero electrical measurements and zero theory. I would not try in my vegetable garden. To start, why copper on wood, why not an iron rod directly in the ground ? Why that height, depth, spacing was decided and not more or less ? What has been measurable differences in the crops; how many times; show any logs of activity along time ? Seems cowshit to me, typical of social sites.
If cannot be measured, it is not science.
Why so many words?I have no idea why you would be so rude, What is with the off-topic insult? Seriously, reel it in.
Do you really lack the sophistication to distinguish between a social ritual and a claim that can be scientifically tested because it involves something measurable?
How about an apology for not even thinking to ask me about my relationship to that post? It’s like you haven’t read a large number of my 7500 or so other posts and instead just decided to invent who I am, how I think, and my ability to analyze and understand the world around me.
Just not OK, @Danko—I am sure you can do a lot better.
It's radio waves and not electricSo here’s a good video looking at the idea from an evidence perspective. Note that no one is even addressing whether a pole with a loose coil is going to provide any actual power to the plants, but hey, it’s nonsense all the way around anyway.
Welcome to AAC.Ur a common prick, how can u sit and comment on anyone's suggestions and abuse the man's education and offer of knowledge..how about u try such then have a reliable supported opinion..u need kicked off this site for abusing or bullying people from sharing knowledge .u clearly said u never heard of such but u choose to be a dumb prick instead of praising the guy for his hospitality..u need reported and blocked..as with ur buddy...ur advice is stupid and dumb anyhow, something a child would come up with or maybe they would have a more mature opinion..wow .grown ass man bully others on their work .RESPECT. ******....hater ..rude...how's it feel ...appologize or delete such or try silent if nothing good to say ...as with ur buddys...

Welcome to AAC.
I’m afraid you haven’t made a good first impression. Your rant is almost impossible to parse since it doesn’t fit what I said and it does nothing at all to refute what I did say. If you don’t calm down and try being civil it is certain you won’t be welcome here for long.
I will also suggest, in reference to your other post about radio vs. electricity, that you spend some time learning about the level of technical knowledge and experience around here before you start throwing around facile assertions.
I won’t engage you in a debate about this particular topic but suffice it to say I assumed that the theory of this (nonsense) involved electromagnetic radiation and not DC, and this was considered in my comment.
Seriously, you need to step back and decide whether you want to stay around or not because you are not on track to remain welcome. Please just calm down and see if there’s anything about the site that you find useful or interesting and participate when you have something useful to say.
