Hi,
I'm cosidering using a EL 2009 buffer amp in a function generator output stage (project). The project uses 5v + and - for everything else but I'm not sure if the EL2009 runs on 5 volts. The data sheet shows a max voltage of 18v or so.

Has anyone had experience with the using the EL2009 on 5 volts?

I'm thinking it will run on 5 volts, I just don't know for sure.

Since you want people to look at the data sheet for you, don't you think it would be polite to include a link to the data sheet you want them to look at?

 

The spec sheet shows an absolute rating of + -18v
And the example shows +-12v
It appears it may run on +-5, test it and see!

The data sheet shows a line for ±5V supplies (Av3). The gain is less than 90%. Also note that this is NOT a rail-to-rail amplifier so you may not get to any closer than 1V to 2V of the rails.
