Sr flipflops and d flip flops are level triggered not edge trigged . I don't agree with the edge triggering article on this site.

 

That is a very general disagreement. It seems that a 7474, and all it's variations is edge triggered. Same for Set - Reset. Same for J - K. Unless indicated on the data sheet, logic is edge sensitive. A Schmitt trigger input is level sensitive.

 

This concept is pretty important, which edge is triggered off of is up to the device. As a general statement, counters must work this way.
