what is the difference betwen shorted circuit and open circuit in a thevenin theorom circuit. In my understanding i think that both (shorted and open circuit ) is that current dos not flow throw it.

 

I never needed to study thevenin circuits but i can tell you this.

If a thevenin circuit is connected to an open circuit the output voltage will be Vth and no current will flow out of the thevenin circuit.

If the thevenin circuit is connected to a short the output voltage will be zero and the current should equal Vth/Rth.

 

It is typically part of the process of deducing the Thevenin resistance by removing power sources from the circuit - voltage sources are replaced by a short circuits, current sources are replaced by an open circuit. Intuitively, the short circuit will tie two nodes together, the open circuit will produce an infinite resistance between two nodes.
