New to the forums.

So I have a Guardline Receiver which offers a 12 volt relay. I want to connect this thing to some Christmas lights so they get powered on whenever my sensors activate.

I'm not 100% sure if I know what I am doing but here's where I am at.

I've been looking into purchasing and ELK relay module SPDT 12 VDC ELK-912B to connect to my receivers relay and Christmas lights for it to work. Am I correct in the route that I am heading towards?

If not can someone point me in the correct direction?

 

We're adverse to give advice to some one not conversant with line operated devices.
Might start with a strip of LEDs operating at maybe 12V DC with an AC to DC adapter.
