doubt in time shifting the signal

i am experiencing problem in time shift when the signal is in negative axis .Help me solve this.Thank you in advance

f(t) and w(t) are the same. But they are located in different places on the t axis.

If you shift f(t) 2 places to the right, f(t) becomes w(t). So. w(t)=f(t-2)

The general formula (straight from the first chapter of my textbook) is this:
w(t)=f(t-T)
- if T is positive, the signal is shifted right (delayed).
- if T is negative, the signal is shifted left (advanced).



If your textbook can not explain shifting, then you really need to be afraid of convolution.

only have basic skills with PLC programming. I think it might be the FX PLC ? I have the first few lines however I'm unsure on the sensor part to stop the conveyor belt and restart. Thanks for the reply:p smug post have good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
