You will need to check which CAN networks are connected to your 16pin DLC socket and the pinouts .
Quite often on newer vehicles the DLC has a direct CANBus connection, but there can be several different CAN networks all interconnected through a CAN Gateway , a kind of convertor /router. You will probably be only able to send CAN frames to the directly connected network
