I'm not too sure I'm fond of the way the multiplexing is handled. Turning CC2 on requires base current that has to come through the other segments. I'm sure the base resistor is chosen so that the current in the other CC channel have less than 10% of the current in the CC2 channel, but that might still render them visible.
In practice, if the solution is good enough then it's good enough. But I'd sure want to look at corner cases pretty carefully in actual hardware before I signed off on it.
