Hello,

There are to many possibilities.
Think of how many plastics there are : PVC,PE,HDPE,ABS etc.

Think about how many metals there are : copper, iron, gold, silver etc.

As for the paper, there are glossy, coated and raw papers(like in newspapers).

What kind of organic waste are you thinking of?

When using the method @kubeek mentioned, you will need reference spectra for the comparisson.

which sensors I can use to differentiate these materials:
- Plastic
- Metal
- Paper
- Organic waste
Typically, two major methods of separating recyclables. hand sorting as material passes on a conveyor belt AND/OR grinding/milling process followed by some type of air classifier (wind sifter) or other buoyancy/momentum technique. Paper and plastic bags are difficult to separate and significant overlap occurs.

Machine vision is growing in use but only at the biggest sorting centers.

I'm so confused! I can't remember what I said. :(
I'm the person who did a crude joke about The Donald. You just asked me to please do it.
I said it wasn't acceptable here, and some moderator(s) decided I was correct.
