DHCP server & relay on cisco router

HI,

I wanted to know how will DHCP work if is have configured DHCP server & DHCP relay ( ip-helper) on the same cisco router. will the router assign the IPaddress ro by default will the request be sent to the DHCP server ?

hi,
Thanks for the revert Tom. My other concern is will the relay service still work on the router after DHCP service is disabled ( using "no service dhcp'' )
