Hi,
I have a problem with integrated circuit delco 39443 (16034993 - IAC Driver).
What is the function of pins 6 [BPOL], 8 [ENABLE] and 9 [APOL] in this integrated circuit?

Thank you for your help in advance.

hi auto,
The small circle on the LO out lines indicates that the signal on those pins is in the opposite sense [High or Low] to pins #1 and #5
.
The Enable pin #8 , a High signal on #8, enables the outputs on pins 1,2,5,4

Ericgibbs, thank you for your answer.

But what is the function of pins 6 [BPOL / IACB] and 9 [APOL / IACA] ?

P.S.
Delco 39443 has signal from U8 microprocesor.

hi auto,
To know the actual purpose of those two pins it would necessary to have a listing of the program running in the MCU.
From the diagram pins 10,9 of the MCU are digital signal outputs that drive pins 9 and 6 of the Delco IC.

The digital signals could be almost any pattern that the MCU is creating in its program.

Do you have a link or listing of the MCU program.?

I would like to know what your issue is, and if you found a solution. I have been working on an occasional failure of the IAC to reset at engine shutdown (thus causing the engine to misfire, run rough and stall at cold startup due to lack of air) and think I have found the problem. It seems to be a common issue among Delco ECMs of this era. John
